Sleeping Dogs Do Not Lie

It has come to the attention of Max & Me that Michele is telling people that we are not in the Doghouse, but that we are inside the house. Sleeping. And she is sending photo documentation of this. Claiming the obviously fraudulent photo was taken this morning after allegedly taking us on a lovely walk.

Max & Me are very grateful that our neighbor Tootie is letting us come inside her place and letting us use her computer. And read the emails from those who are worrying about us, telling us about the propaganda Michele is spreading about us little guys.

Our uncle in Texas was one of those who told us about the awful lies Michele is spreading about us. He is currently being bombarded by heavy thunder and tornado warnings with golf ball size hail currently landing a couple miles north of where he lives. Max & Me don't know what a tornado is, but it sounds scary.

Still in the Doghouse

Max & Me are still being punished for being bad poodles. We have refused to apologize because we feel we have done nothing wrong. And so we are still stuck out in the Doghouse in the backyard. It's very stressful for us. It's cold. It snowed. Again. We don't know how much more we can take.

And to make matters worse Michele and Kristin have brought a cat into our house. Named Adolph. You know how badly Max & Me detest cats. This Adolph the Cat acts more like a dog than a cat. Very aggressive. We can only hope that Adolph is a temporary visitor.

This afternoon Max & Me were peeking through the fence and saw Michele and Kristin leave. We know a way back into the house that doesn't involve going through a door. So, we got back in here for some warmth and so that we could quickly post to our Blog and let all of you out there who are worrying about us know that we are hanging in there, taking one day at a time and learning to cope with living with the Gestapo tactics of this Nazi regime we are living under.

Adolph hissed at us the entire time we were in the house. It makes the Doghouse seem like a better place to be. For now.

We're in the Doghouse

Max & Me are in the Doghouse due to our past couple Bloggings. So were stuck in squalor in the backyard. Squalor that was covered for awhile by snow! Yes, it snowed here yesterday in Tacoma. Some was even still on the ground today. Max & Me do not like snow.

Max & Me don't know if we can last another night in these primitive conditions.

Kristin and the Rat Dog

Well, like we told you yesterday, Me & Max were a bit worried that Michele would be mad at us for taking that picture of her trying to get her pants on. But we think she was really out of line to call us a pair of really evil poodles just because of our photo journalism.

Meanwhile the long walks are really working for Kristin. Last night she was trying on some beach wear and for some awful reason our cousin Rosie the Rat Dog was visiting. So, Max & Me took a picture of Kristin holding Rosie the Rat Dog.

We're Gaining

Michele was cranky with Max & Me when she got home last night because we had blogged about how we'd noticed that Michele and Kristin's clothes didn't seem as baggy as they used to and that we were taking the girls on walks, long walks, hoping to slim them down enough so that they can fit back in their bikinis by the time they go to Hawaii.

Max & Me really don't like being scolded for telling the truth. We are not a pair of propaganda spewing poodles. We just report what we see and experience.

Max & Me are sort of nervous that we are going to be in even worse trouble when Michele gets home tonight because of Max & Me taking this picture of Michele while she was trying to get dressed. As you can see Max & Me have our work cut out for us in this slim down the girls project.

Meanwhile we've had a new neighbor move in across the street that Max & Me have been told not to play with because he looks dangerous. We think the new neighbor doesn't look dangerous, but it does look like he should join us when we take the girls on walks.

We Are Getting In Shape

Max & Me have no photos to document it but of late, ever since the departure of Abby and Emilie, Max & Me have been getting way more exercize in the form of long walks. Basically Max & Me had grown concerned that Kristin and Michele had grown a tad lethargic due to being worn out from taking care of Abby and Emilie, even though Max & Me tried to the best of our abilities to lighten the load as much as we could, but there was only so much we could do.

When Max & Me noticed that Michele and Kristin appeared to be fitting more snugly into their clothes we decided we needed to get them outside and moving fast. So far Max & Me have noticed some slight shrinkage. Our goal is to get Michele and Kristin fit for a bikini for when they go to Hawaii and Max & Me go to Texas.

Max & Me are already perfectly fit for a bikini.

Max the Golden Retriever

Max & Me were catching up on news this morning, reading CNN on-line, when we came upon a story about another dog named Max who has a blog. We were shocked. We thought we were the only Dog Blog out there.

Max & Me are accepting of dogs of all breeds, but this Max is a Golden Retriever. Max & Me have always found that breed to be much too needy. And they seem to have grooming issues. Max the Golden Retriever is only a couple years old. It appears Max has simple needs. The sub-headline on his blog says "Heaven for a Golden Retriever is an Open Field and 3 New Tennis Balls."

Heaven for Max & Me is more elevated and less self-involved, as in Heaven for Max & Me is taking care of two little girls.

If you want to go to Max the Golden Retriever's Blog, go here.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

Max & Me haven't heard anything from Abby and Emilie for days. It's hard not to worry about them after taking care of them for so long. Not to mention playing with them for so long.

Now there is no one here who will ride the trike so Max & Me can chase it.

Max & Me have been feeling kinda lonely.

We think Michele must have read our blog about ice cream yesterday because when she came home she had our favorite flavor with her, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. We each got a bowl. Usually we have to share a bowl. Michele ate 2 bowls of Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. But she's a little bigger than us, so that's okay.

We Scream for Ice Cream

Ever since Emilie and Abby left us Max & Me have not got to have any ice cream. Emilie used to let Max & Me help her with her ice cream cones. She liked some kind of strange to us flavors of ice cream. Like Mississippi Mud, Pink Bubblegum and Vanilla.

We think Abby and Emilie are checking on Max & Me on our blog each day from a place called Denver. That's a town in that place called Colorado that we told you about before, where Abby and Emilie moved to with their Grandma. We miss the girls.

Going Away Party Pics

Max & Me are still getting used to living in a house without Abby & Emilie. It is very quiet all night long.

We've got a lot more pics from Abby and Emilie's going away party that we'll be showing you in the next few days.

These photos are black and white as is fitting for the somber occasion of the going away of Abby and Emilie.

Doesn't Michele look cute with her new hairstyle?

Flowers Anonymous

For the first time in our young lives someone sent Max & Me flowers! It really cheered us up. There was a nice card along with the flowers. But the note didn't tell us who sent us the flowers.

Someone must have been reading our blog and knew how sad Max & Me are about Abby and Emilie leaving us.

So, we want to thank you whoever you are. You really cheered up a pair of sad poodles.

It's Been a Hard Night's Day

For the first time in a long time we all slept all night long. Max & Me did not answer a single Abby Alarm. It's so quiet here. Max & Me are sort of at a loss, we keep looking around thinking we are going to find Abby and Emilie somewhere in this house, even though we know they've left.

Abby and Emilie's grandma called us from Colorado last night to let us know the girls had traveled well and had made it to their new home.

Max & Me are thinking of flying to Texas to take care of our uncle for a week or two so Michele and Kristin can take off on a well-deserved vacation. Max & Me deserve a vacation too, but quite frankly, it is no vacation for us if we are still taking care of Michele and Kristin. But it will be a fun vacation for us to go to Texas. Our uncle told us we can have real Texas BBQ. We don't know what that is but it sounds good. Apparently Texas is a very poodle friendly state and so we will be allowed in the BBQ joints. We've heard it is very easy to get real fat in Texas. That sounds fun. Max & Me love to eat. Our uncle has a pool so Max & Me can go swimming for the first time in our young lives. Our uncle does not have any poodles, but he does have a pet armadillo named Army. We don't know what an armadillo is but we've seen pics of Army and that thing scares Max & Me even more than those cat cousins of ours in Phoenix.

Goodbye Abby & Emilie

Max & Me can't waste any time doing this blog thing today. Today we are spending all the time we can with Abby & Emilie. We don't know when today they are leaving us. Or by what means. All we know is this is the day we were told they are leaving us. I've been taking it okay, but Max has had a crying episode or two.

McPoodles

Tomorrow is the last day for Max & Me to spend with Abby & Emilie. All week long we've been doing whatever the girls want to do. Like we went to McDonald's. Even though McDonald's does not have a very Poodle friendly policy. As in Max & Me had to wait out in the car while everyone else went inside and played. Max & Me were grateful, though, that Kristin brought us each our own Double Cheeseburger. We really love those McDonald's Cheeseburgers. One time Max took a bite of Michele's McGriddle sandwich. It caused him to gag. I think that may have been when he learned not to sneak bites when no one was looking.

Emilie's School Party

Max & Me got to go to a going away party for her at Emilie's school. It was a lot of fun. We've never had so many kids to play with before. They came in all sizes. And some were boys like Max & Me!

Emilie's school has a lot of fun toys to play with, toys for kids. None seemed poodle accessible. But we didn't mind that there was nothing for Max & Me to play on because it was fun just watching the kids have so much fun playing with Emilie.

Only 3 more days til Abby and Emilie leave Max & Me. I hope we all get to go to McDonald's one more time before they leave us.

Goodbye Partying

It's only 4 days til Abby and Emilie leave Max & Me.

This past weekend we had a lot of visitors and pretty much a non-stop party as people dropped by to say goodbye.

Max & Me didn't know who a lot of these people were, but they were fun to play with.

We'll have more party pics tomorrow.

Five More Days

It's 5 more days until Abby and Emilie are leaving Max & Me behind while they go to some place called Colorado.

It's a gloomy rainy day here today in Tacoma, which fits the mood of Max & Me perfectly. Emilie is sleeping peacefully. We don't know if she knows she is leaving us. I wonder if she will miss Max & Me?

Abby & Emilie

Are still leaving us. It is Day Two of learning that Max & Me are not going to be helping take care of Abby & Emilie anymore after they leave us next Friday. Meanwhile our cousin, Spencer Jack, who lives up north in Mount Vernon, had his first birthday party yesterday. I don't know if Max & Me were invited, but we do know we didn't go to his party. On the left that is a photo of Spencer Jack at his birthday party. Well, Max & Me don't want to spend anymore time on this blog right now. We want to spend as much time as we can playing with Abby and Emilie before they leave.

Blue & Max Maximum Sad

Last night Michele and Kristin told Max & Me they had something to tell us. We knew it was serious because we got one of our special treats that hides on top of the fridge before we got told the news.

Here it is. Abby and Emilie are leaving us. Next Friday, March 14, they are going to live with their grandma and grandpa in some place called Colorado. We don't know if that is nearby or not. So, we don't know if we'll still get to babysit. We hope so.

Max & Me have gotten pretty attached to Abby and Emilie. They are like the little sisters we've never had. Max & Me have taught the girls all sorts of things since we took over taking care of them. Emilie especially. She didn't know what a dining table was for when we first saw her. Now she helps set the table and clean up afterwards. I don't think she'd ever seen a book before Max & Me started reading to her. Now she has her own books that she reads.

So, it's a sad day today here in Max & Blue land.

Petty Poodle Thievery

The tensions between Max & Me have escalated since yesterday's Hillary Yard Sign incident. I don't quite know how Max managed it but he has stolen my Barack Obama button from the Blue & Max Blog. I don't quite know yet how I am going to deal with this vandalism. My first inclination was to dial 911 but I really did not want to see Max arrested and thrown into the pound. Even though he richly deserves it. I think I'll just bide my time and take appropriate measures when the opportunity presents itself. In the meantime I'm going button hunting.

The Max Sign

Yesterday Michele and Kristin took all the girls, plus Max, out in the front yard to take pics of them all standing in front of their Hillary yard sign. I've never felt so left out in all the time I've lived here. I was not even invited to the photo op. Even though I lean towards Barack, excluding me from such an important event is no way to sway my mind.

It will take a lot of lawyerly persuasion to convince me to put that Hillary sign group photo on the Max & Blue Blog. Meanwhile something happened that I think is what they call poetic justice. I will admit that I had an inclination to, well, regarding a certain sign, to use it as a, well, a fire hydrant. And then what do my surprised eyes see but an uncultured mutt who lives across the street doing the very thing I thought of doing but am too well-raised and well-mannered to actually do. I'm glad I had my camera phone aimed and ready.

And for more poetic justice, even though it is not a group photo, because currently I am one lonely poodle without a group, I did manage to use the camera self-timer to take a pic of me in front of a neighbor's Obama sign.

Post Election Day Blue

I'm moping today, likely spending a few hours gazing forlornly out the window. The girls in this house, and Max, are being all happy because Hillary won in 3 states yesterday, including our uncle's state called Texas. I was sure the guy I like, Barack, was going to win them all and cause Hillary to stop trying. Michele gave Max his Hillary button back yesterday evening. Michele wouldn't give my Barack button back. She said Max is being a very good boy and that I'm being an instigator. I don't know how I can be something when I don't even know what the word means. I'm sort of annoyed at Kristin because she usually comes to my defense, but she just sat there petting Max. Even Abby is being mean to me. Yesterday she pulled my ear and punched me in the nose. It hurt, but I didn't cry.

Dog Parking

Emilie took Max & Me to our favorite Dog Park a couple days ago. It's fun to run with our own kind and get a break from our household duties. If only for a short while.

Max is Being a Big Baby

As if Michele didn't already have her hands full with Baby Abby, ever since Max started wearing a diaper he has been wanting a lot more attention in the form of being held like a baby. Michele seems to be getting close the point of total exhaustion. As soon as Michele puts Abby down Max starts begging to get picked up.

Max in Diapers

Max & Me didn't get around to blogging yesterday. We were having too much fun playing with Emilie. That kid can really be a handful sometimes. Yesterday she put Max in diapers and a bib. Did I mention that Max & Me now have our very own laptop for our blogging? It makes it much easier for us not to have to share computer time with Kristin and Michele. We have a wireless network so we can move the laptop to wherever it is convenient for us. We require peace and quiet when we are doing our computer work, so this works out real well for us.
