As Usual, Max and Me Catching Up!

The sun was out for a few days, and the kids played with their new bubble guns.  Max and Me remember when play guns weren't allowed in this house...but it seems rules change.

What hasn't changed is Patty scheduling work here in T-town so she can swing by and see us. The kids sure like her reading stories. There was so much fighting over her lap that Kristin got out an extra chair.


 

 Those are the flowers that Evie's dad got Kristin and Michele for Mothers' Day.  And that's Theo, pretending he wasn't just touching them.

 

The other day, Ruby took the bag of popcorn to help herself - to the whole thing!  What a pile.

But later that night, these two sure were happy! Max and Me can't believe that next month they will be 2 and a half.  Time flies.

Just another shot of their healthy eating habits - a donut AND a bag of chips!  Max and Me remember when those things weren't allowed in this house either!

But ice cream sundaes, well, those have always been around.

 

Michele put them all to work in the garden.  Max and Me hope they plant something tasty.

One day last week, Theo came home from school looking pretty beat up!  He said the other kid looked much worse!

Lest you think they only eat junk food, Ruby is showing off a cucumber.  Of course, Max and Me know she ate that ranch dip with a spoon!!

After a few days of sun, the rain came.  They've been having fun in their tent.

They tried to build their own fort, but it wasn't very sturdy.

 

It's a good thing Max and Me have our own fort. 

Even if I have to be his pillow.

 

ZooDay

They saw the newest tiger get breakfast. 

She liked to hold her stuffed tiger while she ate!

Then they went to check on the last "baby" tiger - he is looking huge!

David loved feeding the budgies. He said Michele and Kristin screamed when too many birds landed on their sticks. 

Max and Me suspect there was more screaming when the snake slithered up the wall. 

But Theo loved it and didn't want to leave. 

Sun!

We've had some beautiful sunny days, and Max and Me have done our best to enjoy them.

 

 

Theo & Ruby seem to like shade best and picked hiking over sunbathing around when Michele and Kristin took them to the beach.

 

They did join David for some beach time, after it cooled off a bit.

Back at home, Theo enjoyed some yummy summer vegetables and hummus.  The whole containter of it!

 



And then he went outside and planted sunflowers.  Max and Me hope they grow!

 

Michele says her yardwork takes a lot longer when everybody helps.  But they sure have fun.

Yesterday, they went and got Evie!  First they played at a beach.

 

 

Sure looks fun.  But then they came home to play with Max and Me.  We'll have more pictures of that, soon.

Sick and Sicker

It has been quite a week.  First, David got sick and had to spend some time at urgent care, then at an emergency room.

But he got out, and seemed to get better.

 



Still, Michele and Kristin were desperate for him to eat and drink more, and even offered popsicles in the bath.  You'll see that David wasn't interested.

 



Ruby liked the popsicle, and enjoyed some time playing out in the sun.

What a silly girl!

After tennis and rolling around, Ruby attacked Theo.  Max and Me don't understand these kids.

Theo spent a looooong time watching these three snails.

Then, after that fun in the sun, Ruby got sick.  She slept and slept and slept.

 

Max and Me gotta run, looks like Theo is coming down with it now!
