New Shoes

Evie got some new shoes. As Evie likes to say, they are "just like Shell's."

Max decided he, too, could be "just like Shell," and went to take a nap in her bed. Somehow, his impression of Michele wasn't as well received as Evie's.

Training Marley and David

Now that Max and Me are feeling better, we are really stepping up the training for the boys. Tonight: unloading the dishwasher.

Not only were they pretty good at it, they seemed to like it!

Busy Weekend

Saturday started off strange...Kristin took off in her car and left everybody else at home!

But she came back in a new car. Something called a mini-van. Max and Me had to check it out.

Kristin put those cool seats the kids use in it, but, uh, Marley didn't seem to get it.
Even scarier though, is where Evie was sitting.
After checking out the new ride, everybody came inside for a milk break. Max and Me think Michele forgot to feed the kids while Kristin was gone.
Don't worry, Max and Me got in on the snack too.

Today, Michele and Kristin put all the kids in the new car and went to feed ducks.

A lot of ducks.

Anyhow, when they got back, Max and Me asked David how he liked his new house. We're not sure, but we think he likes it!!

Good News!

Max went to the vet today to get his knee looked at. Apparently, he's not supposed to be running and flinging himself over the recycling bin and down the stairs this soon after surgery. Huh, who would've guessed? It's a good thing one of us got some brains. Anyhow, the good news: Max lost 2 pounds! He's halfway to his goal weight. To celebrate, Michele gave him a little treat. It has been so long since he's had one, he didn't really know what to do with it.

And look how delicately he eats now.

Maybe when he loses 2 more, Max and Me willl get cheeseburgers!!

Worn Out!

Well, it was quite a day yesterday. It started with Evie trying to fatten up David.

And then Marley gave it a shot.

Kristin tried too, by baking each boy their own cake. They looked delicious.

But David was done eating long before Marley. That Marley can really put it away.

Apparently the cake wasn't enough for him, since Marley tried to eat a present. Max and Me don't really understand, since it wasn't her birthday, but Evie got presents too.

Like cool new pants from Grandma Janet. She put them on right away. Max and Me did not get any present from Grandma Janet. Or anybody else.

But Marley and David did, and they went right to work, checking out the new toys.

Luckily, Irene gave Max and Me a lot of love. We sure like Irene.

Right before they said goodbye, Irene's whole family tried to show Evie how to use those birthday blowing things. At least that is what they said they were doing.

Later, Max and Me went to tuck Evie in and read her stories. But, uh, Max was so tired, he didn't quite make it.

Thanks everybody for a wonderful birthday party.

Whew! What A Party!

Max and Me have lots of pictures to show you from the party. But boy, are we tired. So we'll just show this one, where Michele and Kristin got the wise idea for a family shot. Yea, good luck with that.

Happy Birthday Marley

Today is Marley's 1st Birthday!! Even though we are having a party for him (and David) tomorrow, all the kids got ice cream tonight. Marley really liked it.

David got some, and he didn't even have to finish his nectarine first.

And Evie, well, she liked it so much she shoveled it in with her fingers. Despite having a perfectly good spoon in her hand.

Max and Me got nothing. But we have high hopes for tomorrow's party.

Everybody Clean Up

Yesterday, Max and Me rolled in some great stuff in the yard. Then we had to have baths. Today, all the kids got baths. Max and Me wonder what they rolled in.

Boys Rule!!

The new kid, currently known as David, moved in tonight. Max and Me are super happy that boys finally rule the house!

Yep, that's right...Max and Me rule and guess who is in the dog house now???

Next, we have to figure out how to put cheeseburgers on speed dial.

Suspicious Sickness

So, Kristin made chili this week. It smelled soooo good. Max and Me begged and begged, but nobody would give us even a taste. Not even Evie.
Look at her - you know that is some yummy chili.

But today, everybody who ate chili is sick. Like losing their lunch sick. Ew. Except, of course, Max and Me. We're fine. So why can't Max run around and enjoy the yard? And why does nobody mow the yard around here anymore?? Sheesh.

This Is Our Life

Enough said. Although Max and Me did overhear Michele and Kristin talking about whether we were depressed. Uh, no, we're just bored. Max and Me can't wait until the vet says we can run and play again.

Wow

So the new kid hung out with us today. He's pretty cool. Marley likes him. A lot.

Max and Me think it is kinda mean how they gang up on Evie. But, well, she sorta asks for it.

Since Max and Me are still recovering from our surgeries, we haven't been able to do much training with the boys. Today, Kristin took over. Sheesh - cooking? But maybe they'll learn how to make us cheeseburgers!!

Last Sun?

Michele was home yesterday, getting the downstairs ready for Marley and Trey. It was a beautiful sunny day, so Michele let us go outside. Sort of. It was a nice thought, but, well, not that much fun.
Max and Me can't wait til we can run around again. All we want is a little freedom. Well, and cheeseburgers.

Big Big News

Yep, you guessed it. Another kid is moving in. His name is Trey. And he and Marley are going to be double trouble. Max and Me are super excited just thinking about it! Finally, boys will outnumber girls at our house!
