Sick Of Being Sick

Max here, again. Blue is sick, again. This time nobody knows what made his belly so upset, but he had to spend last night at the hospital, getting medicine and fluids. When he got home, he had another big shaved patch on his leg. He still wasn't feeling great, but he helped Kristin read to Evie.

Later I helped him rest on the sofa.

I was happy to have him home, because taking care of Evie is more than a one poodle job.

That kid is a bit crazy, wanting everyone to pile in her box with her.

I hope Blue gets better soon. I'm exhausted.

Lazy, Crazy, Flat Stanley

Well, this Flat Stanley is a lazy one. I had trouble getting him up in the morning.
And then Blue and I tried to teach him to bark at passers-by. You know, how we guard the house.

He wasn't very good at it. I didn't know what to do with him.

But come breakfast time, well, that guy could put it away.

And the best part was, he talked Kristin into more cheeseburgers!!! YUM!

Company!

We had lots of company this weekend. Evie even got a new outfit so she would look presentable for our guests.

First, a girl named Taylor came to stay with us for a night. In the morning, Kristin and Taylor and Evie made pancakes.

And then cookies. That Taylor sure is a good cook.

After all that eating, they decided to go for a walk at the zoo.

They left Blue and I at home, but they did take our other houseguest...
Flat Stanley is back!!!!

We are lucky, because Flat Stanley LOVES McDonalds, so much that even Kristin can't say no.

Looks like he ate some of Taylor's cheeseburger.

Later, after Taylor went home, Kristin told Evie and Blue and I to clean up our room. But we were too tired.

Maybe after a nap.

Oh, Yea - Cheeseburgers!!

Max here, happy to report that we got a cheeseburger.
We ate every last bite.

And could have used another, but I decided not to complain. For now.

Max Is Taking Over

As many of you have noticed, Blue is not attending to his blogging lately. So I, Max, am going to take over, at least for a bit. Just as soon as I get a cheeseburger...

Giddy-Up

It snowed again this morning. Max and Me can't remember any winter like this. Of course, that doesn't mean much since we're so young. But Michele said she's never seen anything like this, and that's saying something. Our Grandpa texted us and said that the winter he reported to the Army was bad like this. Max and Me can't remember if that was '49 or '51. Either way, that's a looooong time ago. (Sorry Grampa!)

Since we were stuck inside, Evie got to ride on her horse. Early in the morning, she likes to ride with dog-dog.
Later, Michele said we could all take turns. Evie is a ride hog though, and Max and Me fight over who goes next.

I won, but Max wouldn't leave me alone.

So then he got his turn.

And then, just when Max and Me think we've seen everything, Michele took a turn. With Evie's binkie. Seriously, who licensed these two??

Recovery

Last night, Michele and Kristin got Frisco Freeze. Cheeseburgers. Max and Me barely got a bite. Evie did share some of her milkshake with Max and Me though, which was nice and easy to chew with my sore teeth.
Max, as always, got more.
This morning, Max and Me got left home while Michele and Kristin went to shopping. That's okay, Max and Me aren't really the mall type.

Evie scored lots of new summer stuff.
Max and Me think she liked her new duds.

Blue Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

I've had me an awful day. First, I got no breakfast. Not even a drink of water.

Even when Max asked with me, we still got nothing. I knew something strange was happening.

Then I had to get ready and go with Kristin. Early in the morning. With no breakfast. To the vet. I had to get my teeth cleaned, and one pulled. Ouch. I had to get an IV too. Scary.

The surgery lasted all day. Evie and Max waited for me to get home.

I think Max felt sorry for my big shaved patch where the IV was.

Even though I was still a little woozy, it was nice to sit in the sun. I told Max he had to be nice to me, or he would be next.

I think that scared him.

More Snow?

After Max and Me returned home from our awesome weekend in Whatcom County, we awoke to snow. Are we dreaming?

Nope, I don't get this cold when I dream.

Luckily Max and Me didn't have any work to do, so we got to rest and watch the snow.

Meanwhile, it would seem that Evie has spent too much time around some of our relatives. Max and Me won't name names, but somebody taught the kid to be a two fisted drinker.

And a lazy one at that!

Road Trip!!

Max and Me took Michele and Kristin and Evie up to see our (great) Uncle Mel this weekend. Plus, our pal Annika came along. She said it was because she wanted to check out WWU, but Max and Me know she misses us when we go away. Anyhow, our Uncle Mel was kinda mean to Evie. First, he took her coin purse.
Then he swiped her shoes.

When picture time came around, Evie wanted nothing to do with it. Who can blame her?
After that yummy dinner, we went back to our hotel. This morning, Max and Me spent some time enjoying the views. I liked to look out west.

While Max preferred to look north, toward Canada.

Evie did not properly appreciate the lovely views, and instead tried to get me to wear her hat. No, thank you.

We headed for home and Michele took some scary road called Chuckanut. And it snowed.

Luckily Annika was with us to calm us down.

Thanks everyone for a super fun weekend!!!!
