We're on a Break
Max & Me are on a break. We're bored. We're spending our days sleeping. We've got nothing to blog about. We haven't done anything fun since Flat Stanley left. If anyone is reading this, please come play with Max & Me. Thank you for your consideration.

Flat Stanley at the Glass Museum
Max & Me thought we'd shown you all the pictures we had of Flat Stanley's Adventures. But we missed one. Flat Stanley went to the Museum of Glass here in Tacoma. He walked across the Bridge of Glass and after doing that Flat Stanley insisted that he wanted to go into the museum. Michele and Kristin did not want to pay to go into the museum. So they stayed outside while Max & Me and Flat Stanley toured the museum. We all got in for free because we are under 10 years old. Michele and Kristin are decades older than Max & Me and Flat Stanley. So they have to pay for stuff we get to do for free.

Incoming Uncle
Max & Me haven't told Michele and Kristin yet, but our Uncle in Texas is coming to take care of us in July. Michele and Kristin think our Grandma and Grandpa in Phoenix are going to take care of us. But we talked to our Grandma yesterday and she told us that they had to cat sit those scary Phoenix cat cousins of ours, because our Phoenix Aunt and Uncle are going on a cruise and our cousins have moved out so they can't take care of those scary cats. Our Grandma and Grandpa will show up later in the week.
We're gonna have so much fun with our Uncle. When he was here the last time he took me on long walks and he brought over a nice dog to play with us called Pal. Our Uncle hasn't met Max. We adopted Max since our Uncle's last visit.

Flat Stanley Tackles Totem Pole
Unless Max & Me find one we've missed, today is the last of the pictures of the Adventures of Flat Stanley. Max & Me took Michele and Flat Stanley to our local neighborhood totem pole. It's a Puyallup totem pole. We don't know what a Puyallup is. It sounds like something to eat. Max & Me have not heard from Flat Stanley since he flew to Chicago. We assume he flew. We stuck him in an envelope and mailed him. Maybe he travelled by truck. We hope Flat Stanley ended up at the correct address in Chicago.

Rosie the Rat Dog & Bean Drink Too Much
Max & Me went to bed early last night which caused us to get up real early this morning. We're being very quiet so as not to wake up the rest of the house. We decided it doesn't make too much noise when we do our Blogging, so we tiptoed into the computer room and turned on the computer.
Max & Me promised a couple days ago to show you, the next day, Flat Stanley at our cousin's Rosie the Rat Dog and Bean the Wiener Dog. But we forgot and showed you Flat Stanley in Seattle in the rain instead.
So, last weekend Max & Me and Flat Stanley spent a couple hours with our cousins. We've mentioned before how their bad manners can wear on the nerves of Max & Me. Those two just have so many bad habits. Like they do way too much barking. And Bean is always wanting to play fetch with his dozens of fetch toys. It's exhausting.
What Max & Me find more vexing than anything is what our cousins drink. Max & Me like water. We drink water with every meal and in between meals. Rosie and Bean also drink water, sometimes, but usually they are sipping on straws stuck in glasses filled with brown water that, to Max & Me, tastes like awful medicine we had from the doctor the last time we were sick.
Sometimes when Rosie and Bean sip on their brown water they start acting real goofy and more bad mannered than usual. Well, Flat Stanley decided he wanted to have a drink of the brown water. Flat Stanley seemed to like it and drank an entire glass. After that Flat Stanley started acting very strange. Max & Me could not get Flat Stanley to stand up. All he wanted to do was lay on the floor with Rosie and Bean. And sleep.
After an hour or so we just let Flat Stanley keep sleeping while Max & Me picked him up and carried him home. When Flat Stanley finally woke up the next morning he complained about having a really bad headache. He says he'll never drink brown water again.

Flat Stanley in Seattle
Max & Me were in serious need of a break from Flat Stanley. Quite frankly the little bugger is an attention hog. So, on Sunday Max & Me stuck Flat Stanley in an envelope and mailed him to Chicago to stay for awhile with some of our relatives on Kristin's side of our family. When they grow tired of taking Flat Stanley on adventures, and they will, they'll probably mail him back to us.
Having Flat Stanley gone gave us all a big burst of energy, so Max & Me got Kristin and Michele to finally help us get our lawn and garden in good shape. It was exhausting. Max & Me got a bit dirty and, even though Michele and Kristin were tired, we insisted they give us a soap bubble bath before bedtime. It was refreshing and we smell really good.
We've got a backlog of pictures of Flat Stanley's adventures, so we'll keep showing them to you til they are all gone. In today's picture you can see Max & Me took Flat Stanley to Seattle, to Alki Point, where Kristin kept him dry under the Seattle rain. That's the Space Needle behind Flat Stanley.
Speaking of our weather. Did Max & Me mention that we had some more of that awful cold white stuff called snow fall on us here in Tacoma? In late April. We may just be lowly poodles but even we know that just ain't right.

Flat Stanley On Board
Last Friday Max & Me told you that the next day we'd show you Flat Stanley on board a boat and looking out a port hole. Well. Max & Me had to take a couple days off from blogging due to other responsibilities and so the next day turned into 3 days later.
This weekend Flat Stanley met our ill bred cousins, Rosie the Rat Dog and Bean the Weiner Dog. Rosie and Bean shared one of their bad habits with Flat Stanley. We'll show you a picture of that tomorrow. And this time we really mean it. Nothing will stop Max & Me from blogging tomorrow.

Flat Stanley Goes Boating

Yesterday Max & Me showed you a picture of Flat Stanley standing on the Tacoma Narrows Bridge. We were on our way to a marina in Gig Harbor to have lunch and to see if Flat Stanley would get on a boat. This was the first time Flat Stanley had gotten close to Puget Sound. He liked how the saltwater smelled but the seagulls made him very nervous. Flat Stanley is just a little guy.
After lunch Flat Stanley just wanted to stand on marina dock for awhile and watch the boats. That's what he's doing in this picture. Just standing and staring. Quite frankly, Flat Stanley's entertainment needs are way less high maintennance than Max & Me. Eventually, we did get Flat Stanley off the deck railing and on a boat. We'll show you a picture of him waving through the boat's porthole tomorrow.

Flat Stanley on the Tacoma Narrows Suspension Bridge
Max & Me took Flat Stanley across the suspension bridge that crosses the Tacoma Narrows. That bridge makes Max & Me nervous every time we cross it. We think it's because of our heightened sensitivity to motion causes Max & Me to detect the swaying motion of the bridge. It makes us queasy. But Flat Stanley did not seem bothered by the bridge in the slightest. In fact he insisted on getting out of the car to get his picture taken. Max & Me are hoping Flat Stanley does not know about ferry boats and doesn't ask to be taken on a ferry ride, because Max & Me have only been on a ferry boat once and we did not like it. It made us even more queasy than crossing the Tacoma Narrows Suspension Bridge.
Tomorrow we'll either show you Flat Stanley on a boat or in the rain in Seattle.

Flat Stanley and Judy
Max & Me let Flat Stanley go to Olympia recently to be looked after by Judy. We really like Judy. She's come and played with us before. She reminds us of our lively granny on the Kristin side of our family. Judy came to the Abby and Emilie going away party with a man named Jim. Max & Me are not quite sure if Jim is Judy's daddy, or her brother, or what. Max & Me get kind of confused about the relationships between humans. It is way more complicated than Poodle World, that's for sure.
Anyway, Flat Stanley enjoyed his adventure with Judy in Olympia. He toured the Capitol building, met the governor, had words with his state representative and laid a wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier. And gave Judy a mushy goodbye kiss when it was time to head back to Tacoma. Judy has never given Max & Me any kind of kiss. We are sort of jealous.

Flat Stanley On The Move
Taking care of Flat Stanley is turning out to be more of a chore for Max & Me than it used to be looking after Abby and Emilie. Flat Stanley is constantly wanting to see new things.
So far Max & Me, with the help of Kristin and Michele, have taken Flat Stanley out on the Tacoma Narrows Bridge, over to Gig Harbor, to Olympia, to Seattle, the Glass Museum, boating, climbing a totem pole and probably stuff Max & Me can't remember right now.
In the coming days we'll be showing your photo evidence of Flat Stanley's adventures with Max & Me. And Kristin and Michele. We must mention them, even though they play only a minor role in the Adventures of Flat Stanley.

Happy Birthday Michele
Michele and Kristin left Max & Me in the care of a neighborhood kid named Annika over the weekend while they took off for Portland without us. This hurt the fragile feelings of Max & Me very much. But Annika is nice to us so we didn't mind too much.
We had fun playing with Flat Stanley too this weekend. Max & Me thought Michele and Kristin would take Flat Stanley with them on their little trip because we thought that's what they were supposed to do, take Flat Stanley on adventures, taking pics of Flat Stanley in new places and then sending the pictures to our cousin so she could share them with her classmates. Maybe we misunderstood the entire Flat Stanley thing. It would not be the first time Max & Me got confused over something.

Our New Roommate: Flat Stanley
One of Max & Me's cousins (Kristin's niece) on the Kristin side of our family is in grade school. Our cousin's class read a book about Flat Stanley. Flat Stanley was a kid who somehow got squished flat. But that turned out fine for Stanley because his mom and dad, or two mommies, we're not sure of the Flat Stanley's domestic situation. Anway, Flat Stanley's parental units put him in an envelope and mailed him on vacation to California.
So, everyone in our cousin's class got their own Flat Stanley to send to their favorite relative. Which is how Kristin got Flat Stanley from our cousin.
Flat Stanley came with instructions in the form of a letter asking Max & Me to take Flat Stanley on adventures, then take photos of our adventures and then send them back to our cousin. Max & Me think this is a very clever way to give grade schools kids lessons in writing letters and geography.
Max & Me will be sharing with you the Flat Stanley pics we send back to our cousin. Like pics from Texas when we go to stay with our uncle. In the meantime Flat Stanley is fun to play with. He seems more sturdy than our giant stuffed bear.

Tomorrow we'll tell you who Flat Stanley is.

Poodle Play with Michele
One of the things Max & Me like to do is play with Michele on the floor. One of the things Max & Me like most about playing on the floor with Michele is we usually, if we've been good, and we always are good, so we usually get our bellies rubbed. Max is more ticklish than me so he can himself all worked up if Michele does the belly rubbing too long.
Sometimes Max & Me have to chase Michele around the house to get her to play with us. Like yesterday we chased her and trapped her under Abby's crib. We wouldn't let her out til she agreed to play with us. Max & Me have a picture of us trapping Michele under the crib. We'll try and find it and share it with you tomorrow.

Max & Me Need a Job

Last night Michele and Kristin told Max & Me that we had to get a job or start doing extra chores for pay so that we can make enough money to fly our Uncle here to stay with us while Michele & Kristin go to Hawaii.
Max & Me are real good babysitters with impeccable credentials. Just look through our Blog to see what a good job we did taking care of Abby and Emilie.
Max & Me charge $2.oo an hour for our baby sitting service. We also require that we be provided with gourmet doggie treats while we are baby sitting.

We're Back In The House!

After a few hours of tough negotiations Max & Me held to our position and eventually wore down Michele and Kristin. And were allowed back into the house. Michele admitted she may have overreacted to Max & Me taking a picture of her working hard to put on her pants and then sharing that picture with everyone. Max & Me did admit that we probably shouldn't have done that and will try and refrain from doing the same type thing in the future.
Before Max & Me agreed to move back into the house we insisted that Adolph the Cat had to be evicted. Apparently Adolph had turned into quite an overbearing tyrant and had attacked a pile of clothes he found on the floor, shredding holes into several blouses.
So, Adolph is being sent to a Concentration Camp or Pound, we're not sure, Max & Me are sort of confused by the whole Adolph the Cat thing. We think maybe Michele and Kristin may have been being temporary Cat Sitters and that Adolph has a home somewhere. We really don't care. We are just glad Adolph is gone.
Meanwhile our Grandma on the Kristin side of our family called all concerned that Max & Me aren't going to Hawaii with Michele and Kristin and are going to our Uncle's place in Texas instead. Max & Me are kind of scared of the idea of flying and think it'd be funner if our Uncle flew up here to stay with us while Michele and Kristin are gone, instead of us flying to Texas. We've no idea where or what Texas is. All we know is it is really easy to get really fat there.

Adolph the Cat
Well. One of our Secret Supporters took a picture of Michele holding Adolph the Cat. Let's see if she continues to deny that wicked animal's existence.
Did we tell you it snowed again? Here in Tacoma. In April. When is this Global Warming thing gonna kick in? Max & Me are getting real tired of spending so much time shivering.

Our Blogs Been Hijacked
Max & Me are mad. Michele hijacked our Blog today and showed off her photochopping skills with a fake picture of Max & Me in the house with yesterday's newspaper. And if there is no Adolph the Cat, how did Max get that scratch on his nose?
A Message From Michele
All right boys, your jig is up! I'm hijacking your Blog from you two today. There is no Tootie, no doghouse and no Adolph the cat. Enough of your fantasy life. Time to show everyone the pic of you two reading about the M's win on opening day. While you relax on your pillows on Emilie's old bed. IN THE HOUSE!!!!
Seriously, I'm tired of all the calls from the Humane Society!
