Thanksgiving, Etc.

On Thanksgiving morning, David helped Kristin make waffles.

Then he had Michele give him rock-n-roll hair.

On the day after, David got to help decorate the Christmas tree. He was oddly particular about where each ornament went. Max and Me think he is really growing into his new last name.

And boy, does he love Santa.

Later that night, David curled up on the couch to read the new Costco cookbook. Max and Me can't make this stuff up.

On Saturday, Michele and David went to zoolights. David had to bundle up.

They met up with their friends Owen and Ellery and their moms and had a great time.

And on Sunday, our Aunts Nancy and Loretta came over to put together more stuff for the new babies. They ran into a little trouble with the dresser, but Max told Loretta how it went.

They had an easier time with the double bassinet.

Then David read Aunt Nancy his favorite book. In case you can't read it, the title is "No, David." Max and Me hear that a lot.

Then Loretta needed David's help with the final item. David, under close supervision, screwed together some pieces.

And tested it out.

Max and Me almost forgot, but there was a visit to Santa squeezed in there somewhere. Not that it is any surprise, but David asked Santa for a bat and a ball.

Then Michele and Kristin got in on the action. Max and Me don't know what they asked for, but if we were there, Max and Me would ask for two healthy babies.

And McDonalds! Which we got after the Santa visit. What a great weekend!!!

Snow Day!!!!!

Today was our first good snow of the season and we all got to go outside and play!

David really liked sledding.

Max and Me did not fare so well.
We decided watching from the deck might be the best idea.
And when we saw David with a snowball, we headed right inside!

Michele showed David how to roll up a big snowball.

David really liked the snowperson they built.

Max and Me thought it was pretty funny looking.

Play Date

This morning, Kelci and Aneeko came by and read stories.
Then Aneeko opened his birthday present. Max and Me thought he would dig a giant Mr. Potato Head, but it seems Kelci was the most excited.

After that, Michele locked the boys on the deck to drink their juice. David didn't seem to mind.

But Aneeko really wanted back in!

And We're Back!

To catch you all up: David was sick and got to watch TV. He loved it.

But now he is all better. But Max and Me think the TV must have influenced him because he asked Michele for a rock n roll hair do. And she did it.

Later, David got in Max and Me's bed.

So at bedtime, Max stole his binkie. Fair is fair, right?

And finally, the belly. We have, apparently, moved to "any day now" status, although Michele still says mid December would be best. Max and Me don't know how Kristin could get any bigger!

Uh-Oh

Max and Me are very sorry that we've been unable to blog lately, but Michele screwed up our internet connection. Kristin is working on fixing it today, but Max and Me don't know how long it will be before we are up and running. Don't worry though, it has been real boring around the house, so you aren't missing much.

The Weekend, So Far

When Kristin got home on Friday, she had to try out the new rocking chair. It seems pretty full to Max and Me, but she declared that it was just right.
Max, apparently, was worn out from the day. Why he needs three blankets and a pillow is unknown, but he sure looks comfy.

On Saturday morning, Owen and Ellery and one of their moms came for a visit. They brought some other ladies, one of whom might be the nanny for the twins. Max and Me don't speak a lot of Spanish, but it sounded to us like it might not work out. We'll see.

When the kids invaded David's room, Max took refuge in David's beanbag. Why is that dog so lazy??

After his friends left, David did some coloring. Princess coloring. After all that hub-bub about the little boy who dressed as Daphne for Halloween, Max and Me were surprised that Michele and Kristin allowed David to play with anything pink. We guess they like living on the edge.

Or maybe Kristin was just too tired to properly supervise. Much to Max and Me's liking, she does a lot of this lately.

Today, David woke up with a fever. He actually had one yesterday afternoon, but today's was worse. So bad that Michele said we should get McDonald's for breakfast!

Mmmmm...hotcakes for Max and Me!!

And then David did some reading. Max and Me know he is sick, but he sure seems fine.

Random Stuff

First of all, you should see Kristin. Or, more accurately, her belly. Max and Me wonder if she is holding on to the counter to avoid tipping over.

After Halloween, Michele gave David the all little pumpkins. He set up a pumpkin store.

But he didn't like it when Max shoplifted one.

So then David put them all in a safer place.

Max and Me have got to hang out with Michele all day today, as she waited for this awesome new chair to be delivered. Looks like the twins' room is just about done. Max and Me can hardly wait.
