RoRo and the Firetruck Bed

When RoRo stopped by for a visit, Evie showed him her new bed.
And then RoRo showed her a new way to get in.

Evie thought it was pretty cool.

Now, if only somebody would actually sleep in thing.

Goodbye Grandma Janet, Hello More Surgery

Grandma Janet had to fly home to Colorada a couple days ago. Evie was not too happy. But before she left, she read lots of stories. Lots. Max and Me never seen a stack of books as high as the ones Grandma Janet read to Evie. Even Marley got into it.

But the very next day, which was yesterday, Max was on his own taking care of the kids, because I had to go back for another surgery.

Max said it was a lot of work, especially because I had to stay last night at the emergency vet. No offense, they are real nice and all, but I'm kinda tired of that place. And Max is tired of me being gone.

Anyhow, Marley seemed to enjoy the lack of supervision. But I'm back now, so he better shape up.

Evie and Grandma Janet

Grandma Janet took Evie to the zoo.

Looks like they had a real nice time.

When they got home, Evie told Max and Me to blog about it.

That kid sure is getting bossy.

Outside Play With Grandma Janet

What a great day! Grandma Janet came to stay with us. And Max and Me got to go outside for a bit. But we couldn't run around and there were no laps for us. Marley got Kristin's lap.

And Evie totally hogged Grandma Janet.

See what we mean?

Max took cover.
Later, when Evie was supposed to be playing with Marley, Max and Me heard her trying to get Grandma Janet to ditch him. Sheesh.

What Can We Say?

Max and Me are pretty much stuck in this thing all day.
Meanwhile, Evie and Marley get outside for a nice lunch.

When Max and Me get outside, we have to bring Kristin or Michele with us. Do you know how hard it is to guard the yard with them following us around?

Still, Max is trying to keep his chin up.

Worse Than We Thought

Max and Me are both home from surgery. But we are in no shape to be blogging. Maybe Michele or Kristin (or Evie) will keep you posted. All Max and Me want is sleep.

Max and Me Get Special Treatment

Both Max and Me are having our surgeries tomorrow. We already thought it was going to be bad, but lately we've been getting a lot of special treatment. So now we really know it will hurt. First, Kristin let us take a nap with her.

Then, we got a lot of sunbathing time.

This weekend, our friend Dana came to see us.

And today, Michele let us nap in Evie's firetruck bed. We must really be in for it tomorrow.

Wish us luck everybody. And if not luck, wish us cheeseburgers! YUM.

Bye Bye Grandma and Grandpa

Evie took "gamma gampa" out for breakfast before they left us for the Oregon Coast. Evie is really going to miss them.
But before she could get too sad, she got a package from Grandma Janet. Books! Evie's favorite thing. And Max and Me heard Kristin tell Michele that Grandma Janet was coming to visit, and something about Grandma Janet helping Max and Me recuperate. Max and Me aren't sure what that means...

Trying To Find The Bright Side

So. Max has his surgery next Wednesday. Mine will be Thursday. Max and Me are not looking forward to this. On the good side, though, we each get special soft food now. Yum.
And Michele tried to make up for taking our bed away. But, uh, pillows on the floor? What does she think we are?

Marley Marley Marley

While Max and Me wait to find out when we will have our surgeries, we've started Marley on his training program. Seems like Max and Me will be under the weather for a while, so Evie and Marley will have to really step it up. First, we worked on guarding the house.

He had a little trouble getting into position. Hmmm...

We gave him a break and let him play outside with Evie, he liked that.

And he really liked playing with Grandma.

Back to training tomorrow.

Blue is Sick. Again.

Bladder stones. And an infection. The emergency vet says I need to rest. I can do that. They also said I might need surgery. Yuck.

On Friday, our regular vet told Max to take it easy too. He tore his ACL and has to have surgery. Kristin and Michele said something about a cruel joke being played on them, but at least Evie was nice.

Poor Evie, she's had to learn how to be a big sister.

Max and Me think she's getting the hang of it.

She's still smiling, that's for sure!

Evie's a Big Girl Now

This morning, Max and Me just wanted to chill out with Marley. But Michele had Grampa working, taking apart our bed. We knew something was up.
Then Kristin and Evie vacuumed under where the bed was.

Max and Me got real suspicious when Evie got her firetruck outfit on and Annika came over.

Then it all made sense. Michele and Kristin came back with a firetruck bed for Evie!! Evie helped clean it.

I checked it out. Pretty cool.

Evie wanted to go right to sleep. Max was tired too.

But without our bed, where do Max and Me sleep?

Double Trouble

Marley and Grampa in double stripes.
Evie and Marely in a double bath.
And Max and Me, double tired. Who thought two kids was a good idea??

Welcome Home Marley!!!

What a day Max and Me had today! First, we were hosting a party for a super 10 year old girl, Jazzo. But right after the party started, a new little boy came to live with us.

Max and Me were too busy with the party to hang out much with Marley, but he sure seems to like Michele and Kristin.
Evie, though, well, she's not so sure about this new kid...

After the other kids went home, Max and Me checked out Marley. Max says he's a keeper.
