Max and Me Get Nothing

Our Aunts Nancy and Loretta came over tonight. They cooked up dinner and brought David a big present. But he didn't even know what to do with it!
So Max and Me helped him.

And boy, was it a good present. Lots of good stuff!

Then Kristin got to open a present for the new babies. In case you hadn't heard, we are getting one:

And one:

Max and Me thought those were real cute. But then, these:

Max and Me thought those were taking it too far. Plus, we've never gotten any cute T-shirts like that, not even when we were puppies. But perhaps we should have kept our mouths shut.

Anyhow, later, Nancy and Loretta played ball with David. He sure is getting good at hitting.

Hodgepodge

Max and Me are sorry we haven't blogged in a while. Michele was in the other Washington, and, given Kristin's "condition," Max and Me had to work extra hard this week. Even with all our work, though, there were issues. Like with what David wore.
But Michele is home now, and she brought David a new hat with a baseball on it! He loves it.

Michele brought nothing for Max and Me. To make it worse, she declared we were shaggy and stinky and this morning, we had to get our hairs cut. As much as we hate it, you got to admit we look pretty good.

But then, the nerve, Michele used that new gate Norm built to lock Max and Me out in the yard. Can you believe it??

Big Owie

David crashed a trike today at school, and got a big boo-boo. Michele felt bad and took him to pick out a cupcake.

Or, as David says, "CUPCAKE!!!"

Max and Me could see he had some serious road rash, so we didn't even beg for a bite.

That didn't stop Kristin.

But David took it right back.

Lazy Sunday

Today started with french toast. Despite Max and Me's best efforts, we only got one tiny bite.

After breakfast, we all went out back to check out the new gate that Norm is building.

And then Max locked David and Me out. How rude!

Once we got back on the deck, David and Me tried to get Michele to give us some of the yummy sugar snap peas she had just picked from the garden.

Yep. You guessed it. Just like with the french toast, that kid gets everything good. But David did give me a little bite.

We Work Hard For Our Kibble

It has been a lot of work and little play around our house lately. Something about getting all ready for the new babies. Sheesh, they aren't coming til December! Still, today Max and Me (but mainly Me) helped Kristin sort through all her clothes.
You know, because most of her stuff doesn't fit anymore.

While Max and Me were hard at work, David got to play, play, play. We'd complain about the unfairness, but Max and Me heard that cheeseburgers are only $1 at Frisco Freeze today. So we are trying to be good.

Kristin's Back!

To celebrate Kristin's return, we all got a special treat at dinner - corn on the cob!! Max and Me love it, and tonight we learned that David does as well.
Or maybe he was just happy to have his dinner not come from a box.

Max and Me Are Beat

Between the heat and Kristin visiting Grandma Janet and Grandpa Gary, Max and Me are too worn out to blog much. To give you an idea of our weekend, though, let us show you what Michele "made" David for dinner tonight.

Yea, we hope Kristin comes home soon!

Bye-Bye Jackie!

And just like that, Aunt Jackie is gone again. At a party at Aunts Nancy and Retta's house, David put on a brave face and gave her a big hug.
But he wasn't happy about it!
To take his mind off missing Jackie, our friend Jennie had him and Kristin come to Seattle to play this morning. David must have been really upset, because he got a cupcake!

And then Jennie took him to throw rocks in the water.

And finally, to a big park.

With his favorite - swings!

You'd think all that would do the trick, but no, David still had to call Aunt Jackie this afternoon. Max and Me hope she comes back soon.

Busy Busy

Max and Me have a lot to tell you about. First of all, in addition to it being America's birthday today (Happy Independence Day, Everybody!), Friday was also Kristin's birthday. To celebrate, our Aunt Jackie came for a visit. Max and Me were so happy.
But then David got his paws on her and Max and Me were booted right off her lap.

Evie also came over to help celebrate, and you know what that means.

After chatting with the walrus, Evie was hungry and thirsty.

David got a big cookie too. Do you think he can eat all that?

After snacktime, they met a barn owl named Serena. Seriously, Max and Me can't make this stuff up.

Then the kids went to play on the toys, but got a little sidetracked.

At first, David thought Evie was crazy to get all wet.
But before long...he was soaked too.

After getting all wet, they came home for naps. By the time they woke up, the sun was out and we all got to chill in the backyard.
And then, to celebrate all the birthdays - cupcakes! YUM. Even Max and Me got a few bites.

After snack, Michele brought out the sprinkler. David and Evie loved it.

And Kristin decided she needed to teach them how to run through the water.

Yea, luckily, they stuck to their own methods.

What a fun day! As always, so good to see Evie.

Max and Blue Been Hard At Work

Max and Me are sorry we've not done much blogging lately. Michele has had working late every night. Like last night, when she made me harvest the garden.
Just as I was laying out the bok choy for her...

I realized that is some tasty stuff!
