Flat Stanley and Judy

Max & Me let Flat Stanley go to Olympia recently to be looked after by Judy. We really like Judy. She's come and played with us before. She reminds us of our lively granny on the Kristin side of our family. Judy came to the Abby and Emilie going away party with a man named Jim. Max & Me are not quite sure if Jim is Judy's daddy, or her brother, or what. Max & Me get kind of confused about the relationships between humans. It is way more complicated than Poodle World, that's for sure.

Anyway, Flat Stanley enjoyed his adventure with Judy in Olympia. He toured the Capitol building, met the governor, had words with his state representative and laid a wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier. And gave Judy a mushy goodbye kiss when it was time to head back to Tacoma. Judy has never given Max & Me any kind of kiss. We are sort of jealous.

Flat Stanley On The Move

Taking care of Flat Stanley is turning out to be more of a chore for Max & Me than it used to be looking after Abby and Emilie. Flat Stanley is constantly wanting to see new things.

So far Max & Me, with the help of Kristin and Michele, have taken Flat Stanley out on the Tacoma Narrows Bridge, over to Gig Harbor, to Olympia, to Seattle, the Glass Museum, boating, climbing a totem pole and probably stuff Max & Me can't remember right now.

In the coming days we'll be showing your photo evidence of Flat Stanley's adventures with Max & Me. And Kristin and Michele. We must mention them, even though they play only a minor role in the Adventures of Flat Stanley.

Happy Birthday Michele

Michele and Kristin left Max & Me in the care of a neighborhood kid named Annika over the weekend while they took off for Portland without us. This hurt the fragile feelings of Max & Me very much. But Annika is nice to us so we didn't mind too much.

We had fun playing with Flat Stanley too this weekend. Max & Me thought Michele and Kristin would take Flat Stanley with them on their little trip because we thought that's what they were supposed to do, take Flat Stanley on adventures, taking pics of Flat Stanley in new places and then sending the pictures to our cousin so she could share them with her classmates. Maybe we misunderstood the entire Flat Stanley thing. It would not be the first time Max & Me got confused over something.

Our New Roommate: Flat Stanley

One of Max & Me's cousins (Kristin's niece) on the Kristin side of our family is in grade school. Our cousin's class read a book about Flat Stanley. Flat Stanley was a kid who somehow got squished flat. But that turned out fine for Stanley because his mom and dad, or two mommies, we're not sure of the Flat Stanley's domestic situation. Anway, Flat Stanley's parental units put him in an envelope and mailed him on vacation to California.

So, everyone in our cousin's class got their own Flat Stanley to send to their favorite relative. Which is how Kristin got Flat Stanley from our cousin.

Flat Stanley came with instructions in the form of a letter asking Max & Me to take Flat Stanley on adventures, then take photos of our adventures and then send them back to our cousin. Max & Me think this is a very clever way to give grade schools kids lessons in writing letters and geography.

Max & Me will be sharing with you the Flat Stanley pics we send back to our cousin. Like pics from Texas when we go to stay with our uncle. In the meantime Flat Stanley is fun to play with. He seems more sturdy than our giant stuffed bear.

Michele's Under the Crib

Yesterday Max & Me told you that we sometimes have to chase Michele around the house til she gives in and plays with us. A couple days ago we chased Michele into the bedroom where the crib is. Michele crawled under the crib and Max & Me kept her trapped there til she agreed to play with us and Flat Stanley.

Tomorrow we'll tell you who Flat Stanley is.

Poodle Play with Michele

One of the things Max & Me like to do is play with Michele on the floor. One of the things Max & Me like most about playing on the floor with Michele is we usually, if we've been good, and we always are good, so we usually get our bellies rubbed. Max is more ticklish than me so he can himself all worked up if Michele does the belly rubbing too long.

Sometimes Max & Me have to chase Michele around the house to get her to play with us. Like yesterday we chased her and trapped her under Abby's crib. We wouldn't let her out til she agreed to play with us. Max & Me have a picture of us trapping Michele under the crib. We'll try and find it and share it with you tomorrow.

Max the Cowboy

Our Uncle in Texas sent Max & Me a cowboy hat. It arrived on Saturday. We take turns wearing it. It fits Max better than me. Max & Me have been really busy so we've not gotten around to doing our Blog for a few days. We've heard from our legions of fans wondering where we are. Well, we're here, sitting at the computer, sharing our cowboy hat and writing this Blog. Max & Me would like to know where we can get another cowboy hat because we are tired of sharing.

Max & Me Need a Job

Last night Michele and Kristin told Max & Me that we had to get a job or start doing extra chores for pay so that we can make enough money to fly our Uncle here to stay with us while Michele & Kristin go to Hawaii.

Max & Me are real good babysitters with impeccable credentials. Just look through our Blog to see what a good job we did taking care of Abby and Emilie.

Max & Me charge $2.oo an hour for our baby sitting service. We also require that we be provided with gourmet doggie treats while we are baby sitting.

We're Back In The House!

After a few hours of tough negotiations Max & Me held to our position and eventually wore down Michele and Kristin. And were allowed back into the house. Michele admitted she may have overreacted to Max & Me taking a picture of her working hard to put on her pants and then sharing that picture with everyone. Max & Me did admit that we probably shouldn't have done that and will try and refrain from doing the same type thing in the future.

Before Max & Me agreed to move back into the house we insisted that Adolph the Cat had to be evicted. Apparently Adolph had turned into quite an overbearing tyrant and had attacked a pile of clothes he found on the floor, shredding holes into several blouses.

So, Adolph is being sent to a Concentration Camp or Pound, we're not sure, Max & Me are sort of confused by the whole Adolph the Cat thing. We think maybe Michele and Kristin may have been being temporary Cat Sitters and that Adolph has a home somewhere. We really don't care. We are just glad Adolph is gone.

Meanwhile our Grandma on the Kristin side of our family called all concerned that Max & Me aren't going to Hawaii with Michele and Kristin and are going to our Uncle's place in Texas instead. Max & Me are kind of scared of the idea of flying and think it'd be funner if our Uncle flew up here to stay with us while Michele and Kristin are gone, instead of us flying to Texas. We've no idea where or what Texas is. All we know is it is really easy to get really fat there.

Adolph the Cat

Like Max & Me told you yesterday, Michele is denying the existence of our nemesis, Adolph the Cat, along with denying that we have been exiled to the Doghouse.

Well. One of our Secret Supporters took a picture of Michele holding Adolph the Cat. Let's see if she continues to deny that wicked animal's existence.

Did we tell you it snowed again? Here in Tacoma. In April. When is this Global Warming thing gonna kick in? Max & Me are getting real tired of spending so much time shivering.

Our Blogs Been Hijacked

Max & Me are mad. Michele hijacked our Blog today and showed off her photochopping skills with a fake picture of Max & Me in the house with yesterday's newspaper. And if there is no Adolph the Cat, how did Max get that scratch on his nose?

A Message From Michele

All right boys, your jig is up! I'm hijacking your Blog from you two today. There is no Tootie, no doghouse and no Adolph the cat. Enough of your fantasy life. Time to show everyone the pic of you two reading about the M's win on opening day. While you relax on your pillows on Emilie's old bed. IN THE HOUSE!!!!

Seriously, I'm tired of all the calls from the Humane Society!
