Max and Me Jealous And Angry

Okay. So do you remember last summer? When Max and Me took care of our Uncle D and our Grandma and Grandpa? Took really good care of them while Michele and Kristin were in DC? Yea, we thought you would. Would you believe that Grandma and Grandpa went to Texas see Uncle D? Without Max and Me? That makes us angry. And then. We get this picture. At first, Max and Me were jealous of the hats. But then. We realized where they were. McDonalds!!! The nerve.

When It Rains, It Is Boring

So. First we had the snow. And now, rain. Rain like Max and Me have never seen. We get soaked just going out to do our business. We get no walks. Between that and the holidays, Max and Me have put on a few pounds. So now we are on a diet. You guessed it, no cheeseburgers. So, we just lay around.

Max and Me hope we didn't bore you...

Best Christmas Ever

Yes, Max and Me know we already told you this was the best Christmas ever. But this time, we are talking about our pals Henry and Owen. Santa brought them a new puppy! Could it get any better?
Looks like both Evie and Janie are ready for a nap.

Must be all the dancing that tires Evie out. She sure liked that guitar. Too bad nobody in our house has musical talent. Maybe Max and Me could learn. No offense, but it doesn't look that hard...

Bathtime For Everybody

Max and Me don't know if we all smelled extra stinky or what, but it was bathtime for everybody this morning. Evie went first and got lots of bubbles.

Max and Me taught her to drink the bathwater. Michele says that is gross, but Max and Me say don't knock it til you try it.

Max and Me don't bring the camera to our baths - we prefer our privacy. But after our baths, Max tried to dry himself in the window.

Apparently he did not realize it was still dark out.

Hopefully, now that we are all super clean, we will finally get to ride in Michele's new car...to get cheeseburgers!!!!!

Grounded Again

Sorry Max and Me haven't been able to blog lately. Max got us in trouble. Michele told him to help her make the bed, but Max wanted to sleep in instead.

Michele was going to wash Max with the rest of the bedding, but decided to ground us from our computer instead. I didn't think that was fair, but nobody asked me.
I had to do extra chores to get our computer privileges back. Like reading the same book to Evie, over and over again. No offense to her or anything, but I outgrew picture books long ago.

Evie might soon learn to read other books, too, since she started a new school today. She looks real big.

Max and Me wish we could go to school.

But then who would guard the house all day?

Even More Crazy

Max and Me have stopped trying to understand Evie. Look at her here, so happy, when all she's doing is wasting a lot of yummy people food.
And then. She thinks we are going to take her on a walk? Even in her new shoes, she is super pokey. No thanks, we'll take Kristin (or even Michele) over that slowpoke anyday.

But the biggest craziness has to be her in her big green plastic box. You know, the one Kristin pushes her (and occasionally Max) around in? Well. Evie tipped it over, and crawled around. With it on top of her.

All over the house.

We can't make this stuff up. We really can't.

Reading

We might have mentioned previously that Max and Me enjoy a good book. Turns out, so does Evie.

After Evie climbing on Michele's head, Michele decided Evie needed her own chair. She seems to like it.

I wanted her to read me a story, but she wasn't into sharing her chair.

Still, Max wanted to be read to.

Evie said no and got out of her chair. Max stayed put.

Evie couldn't get him to budge, so she climbed back in with him.

Luckily, at bedtime, Kristin found a place where we all could get a story.

That's better!

New Stuff

Evie got new shoes yesterday. And a balloon. Max and Me think she could use a new shirt.

Evie did get a cute new shirt and pants from Grandma Janet for Chistmas. She wore it on Friday, but Evie was not in the mood to show it off.
Speaking of GJ, Max loves the quilt she made him. He is hardly without it.

Except when he's guarding his new toy he got from our other grandparents. I finally let him play with it.

It seems Evie likes her new shoes, but I had to help her get them on this morning. I was happy to see she wore something that covered her tummy.

You Gotta Wonder

So. We were pretty much snowed in on Christmas day. No cheeseburgers. No dim sum. And then. Kristin got the wise idea for a family picture, using the timer on her camera. So she had Evie, and Michele had Me, but Max was not willing. This is our first take.

Then Evie tried to bail...

It wasn't going well, but they persevered.

Finally they got Max in a shot, but I had long since lost interest. I'm afraid we are going to have to try this again.

Santa

It has come to Max and Me's attention that we failed to post a picture of Evie and Santa. We are really very sorry. We hate to let down our devoted readers.

Best Christmas Ever!

Look what we got from our favorite Aunt and Uncle in Arizona...

The next best thing to cheeseburgers!!! Now, since our other Aunts decided they aren't coming over for Christmas dinner, maybe we can talk Michele and Kristin into taking us for cheeseburgers! Our treat. Either that or we're going to Seattle for dim sum. Oh, it is a great Christmas!

What A Morning!

First we got our stockings. Evie got music toys in hers. You can see the candy cane from mine here too.

Then, presents!! Max is sooo happy - Grandma Janet sent him a quilt. Thanks GJ.
Evie isn't very good at opening presents, so Max and Me had to help.

She got a dog book from Grandma Janet.

From our other Grandma and Grandpa, Max and Me got toys. But I didn't let Max play with them. That chicken said it was for Max, but I like it.

Evie got a doll that looks just like her.

The doll even has a black dog. I tried to play with that puppy, but Evie stopped me.

Then Michele told Max and Me to clean up. We always get the hard chores.

As usual, Evie just gets to play.

Thanks everybody for all the great presents!!!! Merry Merry to all.
