Bye Bye Big Girl

Evie moved to live with her dad today. Max and Me, in between our tears, wanted to share this picture of Evie and Michele, taken shortly after Evie came to live with us.

And this one, taken just a few days ago. She (and we mean Evie) sure is a big girl now...

We love her and miss her already, but hope that we get to see her soon!

Max Loves To Play

Tonight, after Marley went to bed, Max wanted Kristin to play in the tent with him.

Kristin was game, and they had fun.

Until David horned in.

Good thing that kid is cute!

Walrus!

Max and Me might have mentioned how much Evie likes a walrus. She even has a walrus shirt.

Anyhow, everybody went to the zoo yesterday, but all Evie cared about was the walrus.

And then one came by to say hello to her! Can you believe it??

Later, at the carousel, what do you think Evie rode on?

David picked a regular old horse to ride. And boy, did he love it!

Marley got the Husky - you know he loves a dog!!

Everybody had a real good time.

On the way out, Evie got to chat with a peacock. Max and Me couldn't hear what they talked about.

And on the way home, the little guys zonked out. The zoo, it turns out, is hard work.

Thank You Aunt Jackie!!

Yesterday, we got a big box in the mail. And for once, there was something for all of us. Well, all of us under 3 feet tall. Max and Me ate our cheeseburgers right away. YUM.

And David went right to work opening his bag.

He loved his new blue dog.

When Evie got home, she tore into her bag and found a monkey - her favorite!

Until she saw Marley's elephant. Since Marley was still eating his dinner, she called Aunt Jackie to ask if she could trade and Aunt Jackie said that would be okay.

But then Evie changed her mind. She wanted all three.

Just The Boys

As many of you already know, Evie has been staying part time with her daddy, and will soon move there permanently. Max and Me have been too sad to blog about this. Max has been too sad to do much of anything.

David and Marley, however, have found the bright side. More room for them!!

A Day With Marley

Max and Me had to take care of Marley today because his daycare was closed. We did a little training about guarding the back door.

But Max and Me weren't really in the mood for work, so mainly we just played.

And played.

And begged for treats. All in all, a very good day.

We Have Little To Work With

Our friend Patty came by today to take Evie to the zoo.

Max and Me asked Patty to take lots of pictures for our blog. This is what we got.

And this. Guess they were too busy having fun.

Meanwhile, Max and Me had a nice afternoon with Kristin and the boys.

Marley Walks!!!

Sheesh, the way Kristin was hollering, you'd think Marley just won the Nobel Peace Prize. But no, he was walking. Max and Me join Evie, who clearly wasn't impressed, in saying big whoop. Wait, that attitude makes us just like all those sore conservative losers. Hmmmm....

Yea Marley!!!!!!! We think you are awesome!

Styling Boys

This weekend, Marley and David showed off the outfits they got from Grandma Janet.

Max and Me admit they looked pretty cool. Of course, we'd look cool too, if somebody sent us cute clothes.

Meanwhile, when Patty was over for dinner, she - over Michele's objection - gave Evie her wallet to play with.

When Evie got everything, and we mean everything, out of it and spread around the table, can you guess who had the last laugh?

The Usual Crazy

Michele set up a tent for the kids to play in. Max and Me heard her say something about locking them in there, but she didn't actually try that. David liked crawling around in it.

And Marley liked playing peek a boo.

Evie was too busy with her walrus shirt - showing off the "big teeth" - to play too much.

And Max and Me? Well, I was trying to figure out how to get some of that delicious smelling bread.

Max was tied up, so he was no help. Max and Me can't wait til his leg is all better. We have big plans.

New Shoes

Evie got some new shoes. As Evie likes to say, they are "just like Shell's."

Max decided he, too, could be "just like Shell," and went to take a nap in her bed. Somehow, his impression of Michele wasn't as well received as Evie's.

Training Marley and David

Now that Max and Me are feeling better, we are really stepping up the training for the boys. Tonight: unloading the dishwasher.

Not only were they pretty good at it, they seemed to like it!
