Happy 5th Birthday, David!

The day started with a Darth Vader candle on a giant donut.

Max and Me didn't get any, but Ruby sure liked the donuts.

After donuts, it was fair time! David cut a tree.

They all drove tractors.

And then they hit the rides!

A break for shaved ice.

More rides!

What a great day!!!

Touch A Truck

Theo driving a firetruck. It had a huge ladder!!

David's turn.

Army jeep. David was thrilled.

Digger.

Tractor.

School bus.

Bounce house. How awesome!

Lawn mower!

Kristin on a Zamboni.

The big ladder. Max and Me think climbing that would be awful scary!

Cart. Doesn't look too official to Max and Me.

Recycling truck.

Animal control truck! Yikes.

County bus. Like a lot of them, it had cool things for the kids.

What a fun day.

And yes, there was even an ice cream truck!!!

These Crazy Kids

Max and Me don't know what's gotten into Michele & Kristin. Letting the kids jump on the sofa? First of all, that's one of Max and Me's favorite look out spots!

And then, when they brought Hailey back to school last night, they let the kids go in the fountain.

Brrrrrrr! David (as usual) went a little too far...
And fell all the way in. And then he had the nerve to cry about it!! Guess getting soaked was really chilly.
Hailey convinced him it wasn't so bad.
And he went back in. With Theo.
Like Max and Me said - crazy kids!

Busy, Busy, Busy

It has been a busy last couple weeks of summer.  So busy that, as Max and Me were recently reminded (by someone whose own blog hasn't been updated in years) that we hadn't blogged lately.  So, here you go:

The kids went to work with Michele one day.  See how busy they were.

Later that day, David took his favorite new toy on a walk.

They all got to have dinner at the HUB.

And since they were so good, they got to play at the park.

Even in the water!

They also visited the Children's Museum in Olympia.  They can't wait to go back.

Ruby and Theo got to go back to the sprayground while David was at a sleepover.

When he got home, they played some strange game on the deck.

They've really  been enjoying the wading pool at Fircrest.

David got to borrow another kid's goggles and really liked them.

And Michele found last year's Halloween leftovers.  YUM.

Target run.  David needed his own goggles.

He loves his snorkel set!

See how good he is?

Finally, an end of summer BBQ.  Kelci brought dirt cake with worms.

Max and Me think David liked it.  We didn't even get to try it.
